Business Management Bid Success!
Dr. David Rush and Professor Mike Hart have recently made a successful bid to the Higher Education Academy for a project entitled Strategies for implementing transformative quality at sub-institutional level. Their bid was one of the 18 successful bids which together shared nearly £500,000 as part of the Academy’s research programme into ‘improving the quality of the student learning experience’.
The project will start on 1st September and is funded for one calendar year. The investigation will explore the ways in which faculties, departments or schools can ‘transform’ the nature of the student learning experience by adopting a quality model or by generating a culture of excellence. Mike Hart writes:
We received tremendous support and encouragement from other members of the Quality in Business Education research project (led by Cass Business School) in which we are full partners as well as various colleagues within the University. We are naturally pleased by the high profile that this research will contribute to the University in general as well as the Business Management group in particular.
